Fall has finally arrived and although the cooler temps won’t reach Florida anytime soon, I like to look for ways to add autumnal colors, patterns, and textures into my wardrobe around this time of year. Most days, I reach for dresses because they keep me cool yet provide a feminine look. I typically shop for versatile, classic silhouettes that can be styled many ways throughout the season. This knit fit and flare checked all the boxes for me. The ribbed knit fabric is extremely comfortable and the puffed sleeves aren’t too over the top or girly. This is a classic style of dress that you can wear to work or on the weekends!
Here are three ways I’m styling it this fall:
1 – Add a Playful Print
I love playing with fun prints and leopard is no exception. A pop of leopard complements almost any color, especially the rich, deeper tones I reach for in fall. Adding my favorite pair of leopard pumps with this dress instantly made a statement without feeling too busy. If you’re not sure how to mix in prints, I suggest starting with shoes or a simple handbag. Both are easy ways to incorporate something new to a look without feeling too intimidating at first. I also think this dress would look great with a belt like this one from J.Crew. If you want to make a bold statement, this leopard coat is really fun!
2 – Layer Up
This simple dress is perfect for layering. The classic silhouette looks great with paired with a tweed jacket like this one {how cute are the polka dots?!} or a polished camel or navy blazer. I typically carry a jacket or sweater with me no matter what the temperature is like outside – it’s always freezing indoors!
3 – Weekend Style
A great pair of knee high boots like these can transform this dress to a casual, weekend look. I also wore it with these white platform sneakers the other day while running errands!
Please note…I purchased this dress in the petite size here but it does run on the short side so if you’d like a longer fit then I’d recommend purchasing the regular size version here {which is also available in navy here}.
