Matt and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary on Sunday and for the special occasion I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and wear something different than my usual cocktail dress. Being 5’0, I tend to shy away from jumpsuits. When I’ve tried them in the past, they either require way too much altering or overwhelm my small frame. But, as soon as I saw this elegant black jumpsuit on Talbots online I wanted to give it a try! The scalloped sleeves gives it a feminine touch, making it easy to dress up for a special occasion, but the relaxed wide leg can also be dressed down for the office with some flats and a fitted blazer. The removable sash around the waist provides definition and interest without looking overdone. Crepe fabric is a favorite of mine because it’s flowy and soft…yet also sturdy and forgiving enough if you plan on eating lots of delicious food like I did at dinner. 😉 For a pop of color, I paired it with pink suede heels {with bows!} and a scallop-edge crossbody clutch. If you love scalloped details like me you need the clutch in your life! It surprisingly holds a nice amount of items for an evening bag. I was able to fit my iPhone, a portable charger, and a small cosmetic bag full of my makeup inside!
We had an amazing time celebrating our anniversary! It was a nice change of pace amongst the craziness of moving and having family in town for the past couple of weeks. Hope you’re having a wonderful week so far, thanks for reading!
