[dropcap custom_class=”big”] Happy fall, friends! This is officially my first blog post from our new home. Matt and I have been moving all weekend – well, I guess I should say that Matt has been moving all weekend. I’ve been in bed with a fever since yesterday morning. Why does it seem like something like this always occurs around major life events?! However, despite having an annoying sore throat and feeling horrible, I am on cloud nine in our new space. I’ve been getting a lot of messages asking if we’ve bought a house and when/if I’ll be doing a house tour so I wanted to update you guys on what’s going on.
OUR NEW HOME
When we moved to Florida a little over two years ago we moved into a very small one bedroom apartment {that we *very quickly* outgrew…}. Originally, we weren’t sure how long we’d live in Orlando. There were many things in our lives that were up in the air at the time we moved. But now that we’ve been here for two years we’re beginning to feel at home in Orlando. We decided to rent a place in an area of town that we’re thinking about buying a home in within the next year or so. We are extremely grateful to finally have more space – you reallllly don’t realize how much you miss things like closet space and a laundry room until you’ve been without them! And, the best part of all…I finally have a designated office/filming room! I’ve been without one since our move from Charleston. We no longer have to walk around my huge light boxes that I use for filming in the living room! I’m just so happy to have more space again. And for those of you wondering if I plan on doing a tour – yes! I have a very long way to go in terms of decorating and organizing. But, I have tons of ideas and projects in the works! I’ll share the process here as things progress. We’re starting over with pretty much everything as far as decor goes, which is both exciting and overwhelming! I’ve already purchased this rug and couch for our living room. It has huge vaulted ceilings and I cannot wait to begin finding art to hang on the walls. Right now it looks really big and empty with our small amount of furniture. I’m the type of person who wants to move in and get everything decorated immediately. I have to keep reminding myself that this is going to take some time – especially since we’re starting from scratch in almost every room!
