As the temperatures begin to rise {it got up to 86 degrees today here in Orlando!}, I find myself seeking out light pastel colors to wear. Although spring hasn’t officially arrived, pastels are a nice way to incorporate a light, airy feel to an outfit after a season of heavy textures and knits.
You may recognize these lilac pants from my latest spring haul video on YouTube but I can’t stop wearing them. I continuously find myself searching for a good pair of trousers that are comfortable yet still match my feminine personal style and these tie waist pencil pants from LOFT fit the bill (on sale right now for $39.50!). The style is sophisticated and tailored but also fun – perfect for the spring season ahead. The pastel purple is playful yet subtle enough to feel polished for work. They’re incredibly versatile, too. You can dress them up with a classic v-neck blouse like this one, but also wear them on the weekends with a casual spring knit and comfy sneakers {these eyelet lace sneakers are so cute!}.
I styled mine with an old silk lace cami from Reiss {here’s similar option}, a white blazer {similar here}, and my go-to nude pumps. I currently have this chambray blouse on my wishlist to wear with them, too. If you’re not into pastels but like the tie waist style of pants, here’s a classic black and white pair that are still great for spring.
