As the summer comes to a close, most days I find myself reaching for dresses. Because dresses are a breezy option for the late summer months, they’re the perfect pre-fall look. You can easily carry a sweater, denim jacket, or cardigan for layering if you live in a place where it gets cooler in the evenings. Even though it stays fairly warm here in Florida, I always make sure to carry a jacket with me to stay prepared for the inevitable blast of A/C indoors!
Matt and I recently visited both of our families in South Carolina. We decided to take family photos last minute while we were visiting my family since it was the first time we have all been together since my niece, Nusa, was born. I brought this dress with me which ended up matching the colors everyone else wore…pretty good considering we did not plan or coordinate anything!
This dress is very flattering and comfortable. The fabric is 100% cotton with a soft, seersucker weave. I ordered it online without even noticing this detail of the fabric and couldn’t believe how soft it was when it arrived! The elastic waistband makes it incredibly easy to wear from day to night, brunch to dinner. You can pull it and tie as tightly as you’d like, or leave it a bit looser depending on what you prefer.
The craziest part is that this dress is less than $30 and honestly one of my favorite finds this season! It looks so elegant without feeling fussy. It also has pockets and is available in three colors {burgundy, coral, and teal}.
For the photos, I wore my See by Chloe espadrille wedges I bought a few years ago (no longer available, similar here), but while walking around downtown Greenville I slide on my Jack Rogers sandals. I received many compliments on this dress and the fact that it is so affordable makes it even better.
