Skirts For Summer {Under $100}

[dropcap custom_class=”big”]As soon as spring arrives, I put away my jeans {aside from my white denim, of course} and opt for lightweight dresses and skirts. There’s something about wearing a skirt that makes me feel a bit more stylish and pulled together – not to mention they’re a much cooler wardrobe choice in the Florida humidity. Skirts are also perfect for travel because they can transition easily into an evening look by a simple change of shoes and accessories. When Matt and I visited Charleston, SC at the end of last month, I only packed a few skirts and one dress for our trip. I wore this blue and white midi skirt exploring around downtown Charleston. The charming streets are sprinkled with gorgeous flower boxes in each window sill and we were lucky enough to arrive at the perfect time to enjoy an abundance of fragrant jasmine blooming on every corner – it’s such a picturesque place!  I also wore this fun pink skirt during our time in Charleston. The linen/cotton blend fabric is breathable making it an ideal choice for hot, summer weather. Skirts are a wonderful option as they can be worn for many occasions depending on how they’re styled. For a daytime or work appropriate look, pair them with a silk or cotton button down tops like the white one I’m wearing, and for a casual weekend look I like to style them with a simple fitted tee {I have this style in several colors}. I love this wrap skirt with the ruffle hem as well as this yellow maxi…and you can never go wrong with a classic denim mini like this white one!
