It’s finally sweater weather in Florida! I’m not sure how long this will last…but I’ve been taking full advantage of the cooler weather by wearing a few of my favorite sweaters. I’m typically always cold, so even when we’re in the middle of summer I’ll most likely have a sweater in my car or bag just in case. However, being able to comfortably wear a sweater outside in Orlando means that the holiday season has officially arrived!
I purchased this navy sweater with a tartan bow during the Black Friday sale at J. Crew Factory. I had been eyeing it for awhile and I couldn’t resist when it went on sale for half off . {PS – you can still find many items for 50% off right now!} . I love wearing plaid around the holidays and I think this bow gives the sweater a feminine, festive touch without feeling overdone. It’s a great sweater for layering, too. A crisp, white button-up underneath like this one would pair nicely, or even a chambray.
I wore this ruffle hem skirt earlier in the day but I changed into jeans for running errands. I’ve been wearing this pair from Nordstrom a lot recently – they’re very soft and comfortable! The style online says that they’re skinny jeans but I think they’re more straight leg because they aren’t tight around the ankles. I have them in petite and I’d recommend sizing down one size as they run a little big. They also wash well and hold their shape throughout the day – all the things I look for in a good pair of denim which is great because these are very affordable!
I can never resist wearing a pop of red, especially now that Thanksgiving is over and I’m in full-on Christmas mode! How fun are these red pumps?! I love pearl embellishments. As soon as I saw them online I knew they’d be perfect for this season. I can’t wait to wear them with a few of the dresses I bought for some upcoming Christmas parties. And of course I had to add a swipe of one of my favorite red lipsticks to complete the look!
