Tea Time Thoughts No. 5

Wow, it’s been awhile since I’ve sat down to write one of these posts! Honestly, I feel like I haven’t had a chance to catch my breath since 2020. I’ve completely lost track of time. And 2022 has been a whirlwind…how is it already July?!

Today I’m sharing a couple of life updates plus some recent finds that have caught my attention.

Mark D. Sikes x Anthropologie

Although I’m late to the news that Mark D. Sikes collaborated with Anthropologie, I was able to snag these bowls and linen textured mugs on sale a couple of weeks ago! I love this textured pitcher. The timeless design is inspired by rustic woven baskets. And I can’t bring up Mark D. Sikes without mentioning the home he designed for director Nancy Myers which was recently featured in Architectural Digest. So dreamy!

YouTube Vlogs

Last month I started sharing vlog style/day in the life type of videos on my main channel. It’s been fun to switch things up and try something new there. While vlogs don’t perform nearly as well as try-on hauls or styling videos on my channel (the YouTube algorithm is difficult to please) I think they can be a nice way to get more personal and share more about myself and day-to-day life here in Florida.

Victoria & Albert’s Returns

FINALLY. My husband Matt and the entire team at V&A’s have been hard at work getting ready for the reopening of this beautiful restaurant at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa on July 28. If you get the chance to visit Walt Disney World, I cannot recommend this experience enough. The reimagined dining room {whimsical gardens!} and new menu items are sure to be a huge hit!

Autumn on the mind

I know, I know – it’s July. But, the summer heat has been brutal in Florida this year and I am craving an escape. Matt and I have been discussing visiting Connecticut again this fall. We have such fond memories of that trip and the memories we made there. We’ve also been talking about traveling to Asheville, NC at some point. The Blue Ridge Mountains are gorgeous, especially in the fall, and it’s been at least six years since we’ve visited the Biltmore Estate.
